With the blessings of residents of his area and immense hard work of his fellow party workers, he has won the seat of Jalore-Sirohi region by record margin. He was second in place for his active participation amongst MP’s from Rajasthan during 15th Lok Sabha. while he is one amongst the five active MP”s of Rajasthan during 16th Lok Sabha. Sh Devji Patel had 78% attendance during the working session of 15th Lok Sabha. He had 90% presence during the sessions in the 16th Lok Sabha. He is probably the first Member of Parliament from his region to have participated in 187 parliamentary debates and raised 605 questions in the house. He also introduced six private member bills with regard to welfare of the farmers.
Some of the main reasons for his victory by record margin in the 2014 elections were his work at the ground level; he always maintained one to one contact and interacted with the people of his constituency. He would share their happiness as well sorrows. He would work always keeping in mind the problems of his people. he had a strong belief in unity and a very positive attitude towards work. He is always available for the people of his constituency.

Re-design of distributaries and sub-distributaries including main Canal of Narmada Canal Project, was done to save the damaged area
from flood and heavy rain, in which about 300 crore was sanctioned from the national center and state government.
